Sixth from open evening by Rugby school

Our sixth form are required to complete at least one hour of service each week during term time, as part of Rugby"s unique "Community Action Programme" (CAP). The CAP initiative means the upper years become actively involved in leadership programmes throughout the school, such as teaching younger pupils and organising school events, like the annual Prep Halloween disco and charity fun run. There is also a lot of community outreach, where students are able to use their position of privilege to benefit the wider local community.

The aim of CAP is not simply to bolster university applications but to develop important life skills such as leadership, teamwork, resilience and philanthropic thinking. We want the children in our care to commit to active citizenship within this world
